How old are these characters supposed to be? They were not 30 y/o as eluted to in the book.

Ill be honest, I DNF'd the first book. I had an issue with the deception. I skippee the 2nd book and read Once Ghosted Twice shy with my bookclub.

But this one had me at the beginning, maybe it was the sad prince who felt too much and had to lock away his emotions, or maybe ir was the heroine who is the hero of hwr own story.

I enjoyed this book immensely. Alyssa Cole delves into some deep modern issues and treats them with respect.

Thank you for opening my eyes just a little more to gender neutrality.

Fake dating romance at its best. This was a steamy book, but with lots of romance. I am sad that This series is over!

OH MY GOD THIS WAS AMAZING! I liked the first two books in this series well enough, but this one was so sweet, so funny, and so well-written!

I also loved that this book has a black heroine, a bisexual hero, and a nonbinary supporting character. This series is so multifaceted and diverse overall.

AHHH I CAN’T STOP SQUEALING!

it lost me a little towards the end, but that's okay, it was my own baggage, not the writing! :D

I cannot tell you how much I loved this book. Johan and Nya are excellent characters and the fake-relationship trope is one of my favorites. It was nice to see the various kingdoms in Africa and then in Europe. Cole is really able to bring you into the setting for each scene. I read this book in one sitting and was completely immersed. I also loved the added touch of the online romance game. I'm not saying I've gotten caught up in those but I totally have.

Proper rep

I love this series so much and I didn’t think I’d like one book more than another but I think this one is my new favorite in the series. Nya and Johan’s love story is full of great tropey moments mixed with deep, resonating family and culture ones. I loved this book!!

Thank you to Edelweiss and Avon Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

I have adored the books in this trilogy and I am sad to see them come to an end - although I still have to read the novellas. They take place in such fun and interesting settings and the characters are so wonderful. This book was no exception and I really liked Nya as a person and her strength in facing some very difficult blows during the recent months leading up to the timeline in this book. I was disappointed that this book didn't include a bit more detail about
Spoiler Ledi's wedding
but it didn't matter - it was still good. I always enjoy a good
Spoiler fake marriage
plotline and I really liked the added diversity aspect with Johan's brother and his road to discovering who he is.

Now I need to go and read all of Alyssa Cole's other books :)
