The romance is secondary to the fantasy plot, which was not what I was expecting. Not a bad book at all, just not in the mood for it

Super cute, cozy read! I loved the trans representation, the queer relationships, and the healthy polygamous depictions! The dragon worldbuilding was pretty well explained and I really enjoyed the way the magical world intersected with the mundane world. I loved watching the characters evolve and come into their own!

Surprisingly delightful. The premise is ridiculous, there were no reviews yet, and wading into self-published (I think this is self-published?) titles usually means shoveling through a LOT of options to get to the occasional gem. I’m always on the hunt for non-traditional relationships in books that aren’t just an excuse for sex scenes though so I took a shot here and was well-rewarded.

Cozy fantasy is not my favorite, but this definitely falls on the right side of it - keeping the angst and suspense low but still managing to keep the plot and stakes interesting. There’s a surprising amount of depth mined out of the endangered dragon colonies existing around the edges of our world. The romance part of things all comes together a little too easily to be the main draw here, in my opinion, but sometimes it is comforting to just soak in the idea of so much support and understanding coming for a lovable main character.
