I listened to it as an audiobook, and it was both hilarious and heartbreaking.

martin short wrote a book and i read it 7 years ago and it was funny and nice like him.

and short, which works on multiple levels.

part of a series i'm doing in which i review books i read a long time ago

Would do 3.5 if possible! Great storytelling (obviously) but some jokes should have potentially stayed in the 80s/90s and honestly unsure if it would be as enjoyable without being read aloud

It’s just my brand of humor and this man can do no wrong, comedically, toe my taste. Nice, light pandemic material.

As much as I love physical reading, I HIGHLY recommend the audio book- his stories are wonderful.

A brilliantly funny man. I loved it.

This is around a 3.5 for me. Martin Short tells stories very well, and has learned how to interject comedy into the saddest of situations. However, it gets incredibly boastful at times (which he has earned the right to be, it's just hard to read). It's a wonderful love story of both performing and his wife Nancy. I thank this book for one of my new favorite instrumental songs, "The Great Remember".

You MUST listen to the audiobook! Loved learning more about Martin Short’s life thus far and all the work he’s done. And to think there’s another decade of work after this book was published! So cool to hear about his marriage to Nancy, and his relationships with people like Steve Martin, Eugene Levy, Meryl Streep, and so many more.
