4 stars because he reads it and I find him delightful, 3 stars for the writing.

I've loved Martin Short since The Three Amigos and this book certainly did nothing to diminish that. His ability to make things funny and topical really shone through. I laughed out loud numerous times while reading this book and I really enjoyed his behind the scenes looks at movies and TV shows I've seen him on. However, I was seriously unprepared for the tragic turn the book took when it came to his wife's illness. I was probably aware at the time that his wife had passed but if so it had slipped my mind. When he got to the part when she actually died and described the memorial/remembrance they had for her at their lake cabin I was streaming tears down my face. Sure, there were people you knew like Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn there but the things that he wrote about were so moving and relateable that I couldn't help but cry. I so loved this book and can't recommend it enough.

I loved Short already and these behind the scenes stories are just incredible.

What a great listen - loved that he narrated his own book. Well written and very interesting.
