I loved this book!

The ending kills me....

Despite the fact that it took me forever to really get into the story, when the action started this book was AMAZING!! And the ending :o

The end is absolutely the most heartbreaking thing ever. It was really really slow to start off with, kind of reminded me of Matched, but by the middle it really started to pick up. Chapter 13 onwards. I'm only rating it 4 stars because the beginning was really boring and some parts dragged on way too much, but other than that, it was an absolutely good read. I cannot wait to start the next one!!

I'm one of those people that totally bought the premise. Love a disease? Ok sure, whatever. Inconsistent side effects? Still fine. But the constant sappy, annoying inner dialogue she had and the lack of much of anything going on in the middle other than her listing to herself all these horrible things that are a result of the cure and yet never drawing the obvious conclusion or else she was agonizing, very poetically but a little overly so for me, over her new love just bored me to death. Which is a shame because it moved surprisingly and pleasingly fast at first.

So, I didn't finish. I wouldn't recommend the audiobook narrator either. She probably had a hand in my abandoning this book but really, I probably wouldn't have finished even if I was reading a hard copy.

Oh, and it had, finally, peaked my interest by the point I decided to drop it and I had just heard about the insane ending, but by that point it was too little to late.
