Reviews with content warning for Mental illness - Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982

Somehow hitting close to home, even though the Korean women apparently have it much harder. I know many of the more or less subtle comments and expectations directed towards women from first hand experience.

This is a book, that should predominantly be read by men. But I doubt, that many a man will pick it up.

🧠 My thoughts

Being a woman shouldn’t be this painful and horrible.

This book is a solid 5 stars for me. I didn’t understand why the book was very simple, the prose was very easy to understand and tried to be light but I cried my eyes out.

Beautiful and masterful storytelling
Female POV is portrayed excellently
