This was undoubtedly the most bizarre books I have ever read about siblings. I read this over ten years ago and I don't recall it being this demented. Of course, I was younger then. What did I know? The way the characters keep reinventing who they are/were and the ending was nothing short of great. This is definitely in my top two faves of Palahniuk's twisted novels.

As always, Palahniuk is gruesome and kind of gross... I liked this story though, as messed up as it was.

Headache-inducing fast-food attention-deficit writing style but also quite camp & fun. I was worried this would feel terrifyingly dated since it's writing about trans girls in the 90s, but I actually thought it was pretty reasonable - obviously every character is super exaggerated but that's the style of the book. If you love gorgeous problematic queer people you will find some here.
