This was a wonderful book to read. I loved the characters, the journey and how it ended; although I was concerned it was going to go another way so I'm happy it ended how it did.
I thought it was really well paced and hit on a lot of topics that people can feel and go through no matter their age, I believe the author after finishing the book wondered if he just wrote about his situation, because of that I think a lot of people can take something away from this.
A small thing but, I am so happy with how the father was written in this story. A lot of books like to make parents unapproachable or useless when I was a teen but in recent years parents in books have been written so much better.

Graphic: Bullying, Homophobia, Grief, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Death of parent and Toxic friendship
Minor: Xenophobia

A great story about change and growing up and a lot of other things. I truly enjoyed this one. I didn’t know much about it when I started, but I loved the Aussie slang and how relatable it is, even if the generation is different to mine and I grew up in a different part of Australia, I recognised so much of that Aussie teenage-dom.

Really good! So sweet, loved the friendships and characters, i really like to see the characters grow!!
My main issue is that it’s really insta-lovey, the couple it’s really cute but overall i don’t think i fully get why they fell for each other past the physical attraction point.
Still highly recommend if you want a light read!

As I’ve said about a gazillion times, I’m a sucker for a well written boy meets boy and this one definitely ticked all my boxes. A beautiful story of overcoming adversity, even when it comes at you again and again and again, the only bad thing I can say is that it’s really hard to read with constant tears in my eyes. Absolutely unputdownable.
