I love a good psychological mystery where you don’t know what questions to ask! Minus a quarter point for occasional show-not-telling, especially with appearances, though I think the author did the best she could & I haven’t found a way that I really like character’s appearances being described in any novel, really. Another quarter point for the idea that
someone who is the victim of grooming can also be the abuser
. I know it’s fiction, and I know that’s part of the point of the book to focus on that relationship, but I think people could take away the wrong idea from it. Women don’t really need to be told that
they aren’t victims in that scenario
, even if that isn’t really what the book is trying to say. (I hope that makes sense, lol).
Besides the minor deductions, this was a really enjoyable read. I always wanted to know what would happen next & I kept being surprised up until the very end. Unreliable narrator is done very, very well & we already know from the beginning that “None of This is True”.

This book was phenomenal and is now my favorite thriller. I have never been so captivated. I just had to know what was going on! It frightened me and intrigued me in equal measure. The audiobook was done fantastically as well. The ending was everything. I can’t even think of anything I wish would have been different about it besides missing Josie’s POV at the end a little. Although I understand why it disappeared. I was surprised by the crime. and I loved it!!!

Excellent audiobook. I am picky with what books I enjoy in audio format, and this one certainly enhanced the experience. Full cast and production.
The story itself is gripping and dark. Great for fans of mystery and thriller.

The concept of a podcast unintentionally uncovering a crime is intriguing and adds a fresh twist to the story. However, while the premise is compelling, the ending feels somewhat predictable.

This book started off slowly, but once it picked up it REALLY picked up. I was on the edge of my seat and devoured the second half of the book.

i liked the first two acts but when the theme went from being about how people who experience trauma sometimes gain the capability to harm others into how this girl is cray cray 😝 and forced an old man to date her i was kind of over it. the writing was really good but i just didn’t really fw the ending or how walter’s character was handled.
