This author has been on my FYP on both Instagram and TicTok, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm sorry to say I wish I hadn't. The story was so disjointed that I could not keep going. I DNF'ed at about 15% in. I'm sure this book might be fun for someone, but I am not that someone.

I really try not to give 5 stars on the first book, but holy crap!! This book drew me in and caught me from the beginning. Sloan is an absolutely amazing FMC!! Dorian is up and down for me, but that ending!!!!

This girl has no backbone and lets this rotten brat of a boy walk all over her then begs him to walk all over her more. I’m confused if it’s a kink for her or if she’s just that pathetic?
The author makes it seem like the girl is in the wrong when she’s literally not in anyway. The girl might as well be licking this guys feet and thanking him for bullying her.
It’s gets two stars bc at least it isn’t racist.

Rating: 4.25 stars

Eden excels at crafting an engaging and spicy storyline that kept me thoroughly invested. The twists throughout the book were gripping, leaving me eager for more. Although I don’t usually gravitate towards books featuring 18-year-old protagonists, the mature writing and plotline made it easy to overlook. I’m looking forward to the next installment with anticipation.

This was a solid three star read until the twist and I added another. The audio was pretty good (dual narration) and the story was interesting. I will continue the series
