I got bored towards the end but altogether a good book, would definitely read it again.

Nope. Did not like the writing style. It was all, “I did this. Then I did this. Then this happened.” Everything felt like it was being listed down with no connection or substance with the writing (although I couldn’t get passed the first few pages, barely the first page, when I knew it wasn’t for me). I prefer books that ‘show’ than ‘tell’ which this book seems to be nothing but.

I just cannot deal with the whole bullying trope. I should have just stopped reading it but I soldiered through it.

Eden brings it every time!

Enemies to lovers, bully romance so make sure you check your TW. This story follows Dorian and Noa and what a ride it was! The murder mystery, the suspense, the spice! It was everything I wanted and then I wanted more bc... it ends on a cliff hanger! However this is a completed series, so happy reading!!!

Really just not a good book. Writing is extremely elementary and I wish I hadn’t ever picked it up. Very weird to read such young writing with such graphic scenes. Should come with more CW’s and should absolutely not be read by anyone with a violent past. Feels like a poorly written fanfic. I was actually disgusted by the pool scene and feel like it will be hard to forget. Not sure why anyone ever called Sloane a strong, cool FMC.

Book hangover

I really enjoyed this book, it got me out of my book hangover. I can't wait for book 2 and what's installed for both of them.

This lowkey gave me Paper Princess vibes but man, I was absolutely hooked.

This story can be read without reading or having any knowledge of the previous series (Court High and Court University), however there are some spoilers for They The Pretty Stars (Book 1 of Court High) if you do plan to read out of order. TW: dubious consent, bullying

Dirty Wicked Prince starts off with Noa Sloane and her brother Bru, who just recently lost their father and a distant wealthy friend of their father now becomes the legal guardian of Bru (Sloane is 18). So the two siblings start fresh in a new town at a new fancy prep school swarmed with rich kids. Sloane quickly becomes an enemy of the Legacy boys, the most elite group of students who are the legendary kids of the characters from the Court High and Court University books. And these boys are determined to make life hell for her to get her out of their way.

This book is dark, angsty, and mysterious. I enjoyed all the characters and none of them fell flat for me. I love Sloane's bad ass and strong personality. The Legacy boys are total shitheads. The story centers around Dorian Prinze, the "leader", but I cannot wait to learn more about the other boys. Dorian and Sloane's chemistry was sizzling and so fun. But each of them thrive on their own, I love reading about a female character who isn't defined by the man she's attracted to. Also, it's nice to read about character who aren't perfect, who make mistakes. It makes them feel more real.

There were some confusing sentences, structure wise, that made me have to read over it a couple times to understand what was meant, but it wasn't majorly noticeable and didn't distract me from the story. Plot wise though, this book had it's twists and turns which, for the most part, where unexpected and shocking. AND THE END UGH, thank goodness I only have to wait a couple more weeks for the next book. Dying to know what happens after that cliffhanger!
