This was a quick read. A nice little pallet cleanser between larger series. Lots of trigger warnings for this one but I loved the characters. Some of the writing confused me and I had to go back and re read sentences or paragraphs a few times. But it didn’t ruin the book for me.

I loved the original Court High series and enjoyed the Court University books too. I am so glad that this series has went back to the original style of an overarching mystery, it just allows the author to create a truely intriguing back story and twisted tale.
The bully romance aspect, is totally my jam. It reaches a nice balance of knocking Dorian down a few pegs when Sloane fights back while still allowing him so be a hot possessive alpha.
Secondary characters I love Bow, she's adorable. Just now I dislike Wolf, but thats purely because of his treatment of Sloane, besides that he seems loyal.
That cliffhanger got me though, I NEED book 2 now. Who? What? Why? Nooooooo!

I don’t know what I expected, but this was really not good. I’m halfway wanting to read the next book simply because of the last three chapters but I also don’t feel like mustering up the energy for it. Don’t waste your time, unfortunately this book may have aimed high but it missed big time.
