3 stars it was meh (not really bad or outstanding/super good) especially in comparison to little women from what i’ve read of it and the movie. i didn’t like the art style that much, i just really liked the lgbt rep. it was a cute graphic novel, and it didn’t have much to it. i wish there was more to the story - like jo’s relationship with freddie.

A queer modern reimagining of the Little Women story I love so much.

This was very meh. If you want a stellar, modern, graphic novel interpretation of Little Women, your time is much better spent on “Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy” by Rey Terciero.

I read this for a potential seminar paper analyzing popular culture adaptations of "golden age" children's literature to the original texts. I thought this was a very cute and fresh take on [b:Little Women (Penguin Classics): by Louisa May Alcott|59657486|Little Women (Penguin Classics) by Louisa May Alcott|Louisa May Alcott|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1637378659l/59657486._SY75_.jpg|93945866]. There are some glaring differences that contribute to the fresh take, and I don't particularly think they're a bad thing. I couldn't entirely relate to the book (but that's okay--it wasn't written for me). Overall, I think this is a great adaptation (sort-of) for anyone who is a fan of Alcott's novel. :) 3.5/5 stars~!
