This book skirted the line between too much and just enough. Usually I’m not squeamish in the least but this book just skirted that line. I almost put it down once but it was so good so I kept reading. I’m glad I did because it was worth it.

It got real gross a few times, but I kept going ‘cause Sloan and Roan were so freaking funny.  It was an actual romcom mixed with a gory psychological thriller.

Highly recommend Reader should read the 2 pages of warnings before beginning, it's at the front of the novel and easy to find

Good read for fans of horror, extreme violence, anti-heros, slasher novels, psychopaths, sociopaths, serial killers, dark romance stories of vengeance, torture, light BDSM, smut, rough sex, sprinkled with wit and dark humour. 

Reads like a Christmas Hallmark movie for violent  serial killers/ psychopaths/ sociopaths

This was fun! It didn't reinvent the wheel, but the concept wes fun and the characters were very likeable. I'm intrigued enough to read the rest of the series and see what happens next. Was there a strong plot? Not really. Sometimes a book is just fun murder scenes and romance, and that is valid. The author clearly knew what she was writing and i appreciate it.

The internet has failed me with this recommendation. Was waiting for some element of mystery but it was  just romance and gore. Kinda skipped some stuff to finish this one. Not great horror, not great romance. Time line didn’t really make sense. There’s so much better “serial killer” content out there tbh

Was this a good book? Not really.
Did I enjoy it? To some extent.
Will I read the sequel? I'll definitely try it. :)

I expected more details behind the thought process of the serial killers, and this lack of details made the book feel so immature. As if the serial killers really aren't that bright and are too careless. It's almost a shocker they haven't been caught yet.

The romance is fine. Smut at 62% of the way thru. 

And the

cookies and cream ice  cream was really not a shocker. Booktok and Bookstagram are making this to be way more dramatic than it is.
