while the book itself wasn’t bad as a whole, i didn’t enjoy how the book felt like every other book with similar plots. i liked how rosie was a romance author and i genuinely enjoyed her character but the rest of the book just fell short for me. aaron and luna cameos were so great, but i just didn’t really care for the main couple. the “cronut” line… made me cringe IM SORRY! and weirdly the

Oikein mukavaa kesäromantiikkaa kuunneltavaksi. Virkistävää, että tarinaa tuli myös miehen näkökulmasta.

The American Roommate Experiment

By Elena Armas

Ratings : ⭐⭐⭐. 5

Tropes :

• Friends to Lovers
• Secret Crush
• Forced Proximity
• Temporary Roomie
• Experimental Dates
• Slow Burn Romance

Blurb :

Rosalyn Graham has left her secured well-paid job to pursue her dream career to become a romance author. She is currently living in her best friend's apartment as her apartment is under repair.

Trouble or we can say the story begins when her online secret crush aka her best friend's cousin Lucas Martin entered the scene. He has come for a long break to stay at her cousin's apartment which was currently occupied by Rosie.

The story takes a turn when Lucas offered to be her experimental dating partner for writing inspiration.

Read the story to find out how those experimental dates turned into something real. The rule was no feelings. No falling in love but as we all know rules are meant to be broken.

Review :

• I was having a terrible reading slump from a month and this book come as a ray of sunshine in my reading life. This book is literally one of the most AMAZAYN slow burn

• I must say that after Aaron Blackford, Lucas Martin has raised my standards way too much. Who doesn't want a sunshine hero with amazing cooking skills who will cook delicious and mouth watering food receipes for you. He is that person who hides his pain beneath a smile, he will help anyone and will be ready to give anything he can provide but when it comes to himself he will just shrug and brush off the topic. He needs someone who will tell him that I want to take care of you, I want to be there with you, I want to FIX you, I want you to share your thoughts and pain with me and Rosie is that person for him.

• Rosalyn Graham a bold female character but I wanted her to not let your standards or your needs down for anyone else. I wanted to punch some sense in her when she easily forgive Lucas but I understand that Lucas was also not wrong but he definitely was an idiot overpowered with his thoughts.

• Catalina and Rosie's friendship >>>> but that's also true I was on the verge of losing of my patience whenever Lina disturbed their moment

This book is so meh. Didn't make it far, but it just felt like the most average and plain romance book. The characters didn't feel like real people, and definitely not like characters to care one bit about.
