I felt like I read for so long and nothing happened while at the same time there were so many extra storylines or “red herrings” it was ridiculous.

This is my favorite book of 2022 so far and I'm pretty sure it's going to remain in my top five. It is such a page turner and without giving away too much detail, it was not predictable at any point, for me at least.

Although Avery's methods are controversial, the way the character is written will even make you a believer of the ten day method. The ten step process focuses on amplifying core universal emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, and happiness. For this "golden" couple, though, Avery finds her method not working as planned and even as she enters every part of their lives, she cannot figure out how to deal with these two.

All of the plot holes are filled at the end of the story in such a tasteful way. It was not rushed and it was everything I look for when I read thrillers. I loved getting both Avery and Marissa's perspectives on every situation. It was definitely a fun read.
