This is such a fantastic romance novel! Probably one of the better ones in my opinion. This book felt like a really great length (I often find romance novels too short and therefore lacking and underdeveloped), and really allowed for a great relationship to be slowly cultivated.
I really loved watching these two very different women go from being colleagues of a sort to friends and confidants, to lovers. The relationship was built in a way that it felt genuine and natural - and not insta-lovey.
I hope to check out some of this author's other works!

I loved Claire and Lana. I especially loved Claire and Lana together. Mostly I loved Lana. But Claire got in there by mid-book.
Stuff I loved: humor, chemistry, the strangers to true love thing, Claire's family, all the good squishy feels that the growing relationship gave me.
Stuff I didn't love: cameos from many characters appearing in the Hollywood series.
I loved lots more than I didn't love. And I'll likely read it again.
Would rate it 4.5 if I could but dropped it down because of the cameos that rubbed me the wrong way.
**1/20/24** - listened to the audiobook this time. I enjoyed the story and the narration was good. The cameos didn't bother me as much as they did the previous read. I did notice there were a few similarities in plot points between this and [b:Not the Marrying Kind|44175490|Not the Marrying Kind|Jae|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551551689l/44175490._SY75_.jpg|68713150] which wasn't a bad thing and very likely noticed because of the binge reading...

It was more of a slow burn than I would’ve liked. I wish they would’ve started acknowledging their feelings for each other sooner so we could’ve experienced more of the book with them as a couple. I do really love the characters.

This was cute, satisfying, and predictable. I was expecting more skating though.

Very cute gay spin on a familiar romcom trope. The characters were full interesting even those we only saw occasionally were well developed. This book was super cute and fun. Its a perfect light relaxing read.
