I read way too many lesbian romances. Never in my life did I imagine this would be a problem. I don't even like romance as a genre. I would love to blame it on being (somewhat newly) single, but the truth is, this habit started like maybe ~one year ago, and I dipped back into an embarrassing fanfiction addiction probably a year before that. So, clearly we broke up for more reasons than her turning down my proposal, then within less than 30 days m0ving out and beginning a serious relationship with her high school sweetheart, who is now a coke-head manchild.

This is not really a review, but it's 2:45 am on Thursday day 123213546??? of self-isolating while ALSO trying to ignore the fact that I'm trapped in the ruins of a life I built with someone who is now partying on a beach in Florida and pretending we're going to be friends someday when I "get over it" or stop being so negative or whatever.

This book was enjoyable, but I liked the other semi-related one about the comedian sister better, The Roommate Arrangement. And I just want to point out the hilarious but unlikely idea that 2 sisters who are both gay somehow both end up in fake relationships that become real.

The end.

I arrived at this title from The Roommate Agreement because I wanted more and Just for Show delivered.  It was fun to see how Claire and Lana got together.  Both women grew in confidence in each other and their relationship over the course of the story.  It made the ending sweet and inevitable that they would choose each other with no reservations
