I kind of didn't ship them until the very end. Not in way they were written, but I just didn't feel the spark. (Maybe it's the third person narration? I don't typically enjoy that in romances.)

There is nothing wrong with this book tho, it just didn't work for me I guess.

I liked the premise with the fake engagement, and the cast, including the main characters. Sadly the story felt drawn out to me, I would have preferred it to be a novella, I think. There were several other couples and characters who might have had or might get their own books. The ending was lovely, everything wrapped up in one happy bubble.
The audio narration was excellent.

A really cute story, with lovable characters. I thought I'd give this book 3 stars but I really enjoyed the last four chapters so 4 stars it is!

RE-READ October 2022

I’ve been sick and looking to boost my mood with some old fave romances, and this was a perfect place to go. Fun, fast-paced and super loveable.

4/5 stars

I am now officially binge-reading Jae (and spoiler alert, I'm not about to stop anytime soon). This is Jae at her best in terms of a funny, charming, sweet romance. The characters were so dynamic, I feel like they just jumped off the page. This made me fall in love with them in two minutes flat. They were such opposite characters, which made all the tension, banter and unconventional romance so great. I love opposites-attract romance, so I was sold from the beginning on this. Even though Lana and Claire were different in the most obvious and funny ways, I think they complemented each other so beautifully. The relationship built so genuinely and naturally, the pacing of it was honestly perfect. The chemistry and sexual tension between our characters just kept growing and growing from the very beginning, making me yearn for the characters to be together.

I haven't even started talking about the fake-dating aspect of the book. This is one of my all-time favourite romance plotlines, I honestly just think they are so much fun. Even though I've read so many books with this trope, this book felt like it took a new spin on it. It was also well-grounded in the fantastic and natural interactions between the characters, so it didn't feel as ridiculous/unbelievable as some books with these trope are. Also, another great aspect of the book was the cameos from other characters, especially Jill and Crash. Just Physical is honestly one of my favourite couples, so I was so glad to see more of them. Also, I'm about to read the Roommate Agreement which focuses on Claire's younger sister Steph (who is a hilarious, impulsive stand-up comedian), so I am super excited for that!

I definitely recommend this book (although most people have already read it lol) if you are looking for a fun and loveable romance with fantastic characters.

Trigger warnings: gore flashback of a car accident, PTSD, OCD

Did not expect this to be so good oh my god???? Even though I kind of expected the climax would be more dramatic, but I am not complaining for this one. I love their banters and chemistry and this might just be my favourite sapphic book!

I wanted an easy rom com as a reading break and I got exactly that. Cute, fluffy, mostly very manufactured plot and drama, the usual. Underwhelming maybe, but it did it’s job.

Great dialogue (when they were talking)...felt a little like being told a story not very much showing. Lots of no communication between MCs, little chemistry imo, and repeatedly being told Lana isn't a size 2, yep got it after the 2nd time. Not my fav but still a good story.
