A YA love child of IT by Stephen King and The tv series Stranger Things!

I Loved this book and had such an awesome time reading it. As much as it was creepy, it also had me giggling a few times and I really love some humor with my horror! As I said above, this is definitely a mix of IT and Stranger Things both of which I love so if you also like those I think you might enjoy this just keep in mind that it is a YA book. Anyway, I really liked this and highly recommend it.

This was a creepy little thriller that I would have loved to read as a child.

I liked that this book was about more than a creature seeking out children. Daka Hermon entwined frienship, grief, community, and facing fears into the story. Those themes made the novel more interesting and enjoyable.

This was a decent middle grade horror but nothing to write home about I thought it was a great concept that just wasn’t as fleshed out as much as I wish it was 🤷‍♀️ it sounded like it could be a series I haven’t looked into it yet but I could see where it could build on itself

I think this officially just opened up my reading horizon to Middle Grade! It took me a little bit to get into, but once I sat down and binged the last 200 pages, I was hooked for every page. Some of the scenes are actually pretty scary! I was surprised how much I viscerally reacted to certain parts. I didn't care for the characters in the beginning, but once they teamed up and started working together to defeat things, I loved them all. This is the perfect spooky summer read!

Very fun MG horror story! It's very creepy right from the start, giving me the chills. At the same time it is heartfelt and touching. Would definitely love to read more MG by this author.

This wasn't bad, though it wasn't really scary at all. But it's also a kids book, so what else can I expect.

The ending is for sure a set-up for a sequel book, but I hope it doesn't get one. I like the ambiguity of the ending.
