I was so engrossed in this book! I really loved the anxiety representation (and therapy, right? At least briefly). This was such a creepy and chilling read, I didn't want to put it down each time I had to, lol. I'd love to say more but I'd hate to risk spoiling anything. But I would highly recommend, especially for someone looking for an interest in horror. It's not too scary (or at all in my opinion, but that's maybe depending on your own fears), but creepy enough.

A whole new terrifying twist on hide and seek. Although, it's a middle grade book it was a thrilling ride. The set up as usual is slow, but that's maybe the first two to three chapters. It becomes very interesting when they begin the game and then don't finish. They were really celebrating their friend Zee coming home after he had been gone for a year and he came back changed. He is haunted about the time he spent away from his home. Suddenly, everyone who played the game at Zee's house disappear one by one.
I really enjoyed this book and rated it 5 stars due to the never wanting to put this book down aspect, the creativity of what happens when you break the rules of a game, and the fact of being brave when it's hard to be that especially when it's your own personal challenge.
The content warning I have is the death of a parent other than that should be an excellent read.
