I dunno. This short story wasn't as steamy as I'm used to from this author and this series, and the level of danger didn't seem as dire. Basically it was a so-so backdoor pilot into her new series, Sons of the Survivalist. Meh.

Another winner from Cherise Sinclair. And you can't go wrong with a story about Z and Jessica. Ever. There is something so special about their chemistry that rolls over you like your favorite reading blanket. There is intrigue, suspense, scary parts (!), and our ever favorite D/s relationship issues. Everything about this story makes me just so shivery. I love that we are introduced somewhat to characters that will be in the authors new series and that we get even more about Zachary's back story. Well done story.

Short and more of a new series intro.

First book finished in March. Just cruising along quite nicely. Ready to see where the month goes. On to the next.

I loved getting more of Z. I also can’t wait for more of Macos sons!

A couple chapters in I was wondering if Cherise used a ghost writer. Lack luster is something I never throught I would say about any Shadowlands book. I love the series and this one barely got a 3. I know the book was a novella but the length did the story an injustice.

This book was a winter treat! Cherise Sinclair is one of the Queens of the BDSM steamy romance. Her Shadowlands series of one of my all time favorites! This book is a link between that series and her new series set in Alaska that will come out next year. I loved this book! If you have read the Shadowland series then you will need to read this book! If you have not then I think you can still read the book to introduce you to both series.

There is trouble is the tranquil life that Z and Jessica have built. When Z has to travel to Alaska for an old friend he will be introduced to a small Alaska town full of surprises. If you are a fan of Z and Jessica this book will be a treat and an added bonus is getting to know some new Alphas in Alaska. This book has action, steamy romance, suspense and a great story. I cant wait for the new series coming out in the spring!

Nice story, but in comparison to the other books it was a little hollow. It could have been more. None the less, an amazing book and I would encourage you to read it.
