Short and sweet with a smidge of sexy. Not the usual super sexy Shadowland story but that’s okay. This story is a bridge from the Shadowlands to her next series, Sons of a Survivalist. I am curious to see where that goes.

This was a quick read. I appreciated that the new series was introduced with this sort of bridge book. I like that it was given the space, rather than being rushed and squeezed in. I’m looking forward to the new characters and their stories.

Ooooh. This was so good. You get a lot of Master Z and Jessica. You get to see their cutie-patootie daughter, Sophia. We're introduced to the heroes of the spin-off series. Well, most of them. One brother was not there. I loved the story and I am looking forward to the new series.

It was wonderful to spend time with Z & Jessica, even if I didn't love parts of it. The story was really good, even though Z was being a jerk! :/ It set up a new series and I loved the characters for it. I can't wait to get into the new series.
