I get the same vibes from this book that I got from Jinx, another of Meg’s books. Which is also one of my favourites of hers.
I absolutely loved this book. As a long term reader of Meg Cabot’s, this book did NOT disappoint. It was everything you come to expect from Meg Cabot’s writing: entertaining and cute. I was also pleasantly surprised to find this book has dual POV, which I always love
The two things that absolutely sold me on this book were 1) the disclaimer at the front of the book and 2) the acknowledgement at the back (which I usually read before I start a book).

2 ⭐️ I did not enjoy the magic plot nor the romance plot. The witching world I had hope for after they introduced it but somehow it was both too complex and too simple to be enjoyable? And the insta love romance was not for me. The parts I did enjoy was the high school beef and the coming of age into magic for the older generation of witches.
