I'm torn bc I did binge it in one day but think this waz over hyped and kinda predictable?

Something about the writing annoyed me but it's hard to explain it's kind of a vibe. Like at one point the narrator says "I don't want to talk about it" to the reader and it just felt weird.

Anyway the story was interesting enough and i breezed through it pretty quickly. I'm excited for the movie!!!!

i wasn't ever like surprised by anything in this book. millie consistently just makes poor decisions and she's not exactly likeable either. i don't have much experience in rating mystery/thrillers, but imo this was mediocre. i kind of guessed how this was going to go.

the most unbelievable part of this was enzo liking nina and STILL liking her even when nina was like ya fuck that girl millie. idgaf that she's going straight into the arms of my abusive husband. she deserves that shit. girl what.

this was my first freida mcfadden book. i won't be writing her off completely. idk if i will continue this series tho. i might jump to a different one of her books instead
