The Housemaid is my first Freida McFadden book and my new thriller addiction. The characters were complex and well written. The pacing was well structured and easily kept my attention from cover to cover. I will definitely be picking up the next to Housemaid books!

I am a genuine fan of McFadden! I like how she doesn’t rely on tons of sexual content or cursing or gruesome descriptions of things. There’s a little bit, but very mild, especially in comparison to other thriller writers (looking at you, Ruth Ware and Lisa Jewell!)
I love the multiple POVs, and I feel like that’s where the story really turned a tide, when the view switched over to Nina. I was a bit bored with the “predictable” trope of

I saw this is a series and I’m looking forward to following Millie (if that’s how the series goes).
