I have the paperback version of this, and it is starting to lose pages, so I probably need to get another copy... This is maybe the best Barker book I have read up to now. I loved every minute of it.

Well this was mastodon between audiobooks. More then 37 hours meant I really needed to focus to get at least some idea what is going on. With so many layers of reality and with so many slight indication of characters motivation and intention it was really hard to listen. But in the end it paid off – royally. Imajica is not just a book (or an audiobook for what is worth) it is an art, it is an another plane, an alternate reality or maybe more accurately: it is a dream.

Wow, cóż to była za przeprawa. Wielka (nie tylko przez liczbę stron) historia, przygoda.
Nie oszukuję, dopiero koło połowy zaczęłam odnajdywać się w tym co się dzieje. Nie czyni to jednak, że zmarnowałam czas na nią. Ilość opisów przedstawiających Dominia, przez które podróżują bohaterowie w pewnym sensie rekompensuje mi zagubienie w akcji.
Minus (dla mnie niekoniecznie, ale rozumiem, że może się to nie spodobać) - ilość erotyki. Może nie ma tego aż tak dużo jak wnioskowałam po czytaniu niektórych recenzji. Z pewnością niektóre sceny są dziwne, momentami trochę niesmaczne, ale nie są długie.
Z pewnością wrócę do niej w przyszłości bo wiem, że ponowna lektura pozwoli mi lepiej zrozumieć co się działo.

Look for content warnings. Epic-kind-of-ness cannot justify too much sex and all this stuff for me. I've read better ones.

A near perfect fantasy novel. Simultaneously epic and intimate in its scope and filled with wonderfully imaginative and surreal imagery, easily one of Clive Barker's best works.
