This was a phenomenal read! The story was well written and gripping. I kept putting it down to do other things but once I was doing said things I desperately wanted to go back to reading. Howey did a particularly good job with the characters of this novel. They were all super fleshed out and full of personality without going too deep into race or gender, which I personally appreciate. I already ordered the second book(s) in the series since the story was very open-ended.

Wow. This is really really good. I couldn't put it down, couldn't stop thinking about it, couldn't stop reading. (Yay for snow days so I could just keep going!) Fabulously constructed world, well-paced revelation of secrets, lots of surprise twists that I didn't see coming.
