I so love a good dystopian story, and Wool totally delivers. Hubby and I started to watch the show on AppleTV+ and saw that the show was based on a book series, so here we are!

I was hooked from the get-go. I found this story to be addictive and beautifully written. Howey is an amazing writer-he brings you right into the world of The Silo and its people. It was so easy to visualize this environment. Character arcs are satisfying, the plot is constantly moving forward, and I found it impossible to put down.

Since we were on a road trip, I followed along with the narration. I definitely have a handful of favorite narrators, but I’m adding Edoardo Ballerini to my list. His voice is an amazing enhancement to an already incredible story.

This was a phenomenal read! The story was well written and gripping. I kept putting it down to do other things but once I was doing said things I desperately wanted to go back to reading. Howey did a particularly good job with the characters of this novel. They were all super fleshed out and full of personality without going too deep into race or gender, which I personally appreciate. I already ordered the second book(s) in the series since the story was very open-ended.
