The book is much better than the movie!

This book too me forever to read and I don't consider myself a slow reader. While I wanted to know what happened, the book just seemed to drag. I definitely preferred "The Vampire Lestat" to this book.

I really enjoyed this, but also felt very it could be jarring at times trying to develop all of these characters at once. It definitely reads like a collection of short stories as well. I was happily surprised though to find that via the history of the twins especially that there were lots of subtle clues that would lead to the realm of Atlantis novel.

I absolutely hated this book. I never read another Anne Rice novel after finishing this one.

fun! loved meeting all the old vampires and them all coming together. conflicting feelings about akasha, not a fan of her terf rhetoric but curious what they do with her in the show. also liked louis a lot more in this one than before. overall 4/5 with a special mention to the devil's minion chapter, which was a stroke of genius on anne rice's part and changed my life for the better.

I was bored with this. The Vampire Lestat was so well written, and provider such insight into the character. I felt the Queen of the Damned just didn't match up.

I still enjoyed this book, but it wasn't quite as good as the first two in the series. After this one, things really began to take a turn for the worse...

this book has my favorite chapter of any written thing ever... the devil's minion. it's like a drug to me and i have never done any drug.

to quote myself "the queen of the damned book is just like avengers but for vampires". and technically yes. this book is lestat again telling us the story of how he accidently woke up an ancient vampire, akasha, and how she becomes infactuated with him. and every other vampire has to work together to calm akasha's murderous rampage of human men and weaker vampires.

this book taught me how good anne rice was to write dread, fear and that eerie feeling one gets when something REALLY bad is about to happen.

highly recommend it. this finishes the main vampire chronicles trilogy: iwtv, tvl, qotd.
