I didn't know what to expect picking up this book, but it was fast-paced and very well-written, which I appreciated. I was optimistic at the start that I could avoid King's famous horror/gore sequences, and while the horror was not an issue there were definitely a few scenes which I had to skim over. I still highly enjoyed it overall though, despite the pressure of trying to finish it before the new year.

Almost didn't finish. Very gory, not my preferred type of book.

This was terrifying and horrid. The only reason I picked it up is because my goddaughter’s school is putting it on as a play next month, and I wanted to read it first. This is the kind of thing nightmares are made of.
