I could not put it down. I need to read others in this series. WOW!
fast-paced

There were a lot of twists and turns. I loved it. I stumbled upon this author while reading my other fav. Now I can’t put hers down!

I was rather surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, particularly since I did find Anna really rather annoying and slightly unbelievable at times (and so many of the 'romantic' bits just made me think why, just why!?). Putting Anna as a character to one side, the rest were excellently written and the story itself was gripping and left you guessing and re-guessing from one moment to the next, although I did figure out some of the bigger twists but not quite in the way they turned out (this makes sense when you read it). But as good as the story and most of the characters were, I just could not get my head around Anna, she was too contradictory switching between hard ass independent survivor one minute to weak willed victim the next. I kind of just what to grab and shake her while sternly saying 'get a bl**dy grip!'.

Good amount of suspense. A bit of romance. Some mystery.
This one had me guessing and readjusting theories throughout the book. All the clues are there so some may have an easier time figuring everything out before the reveal, but this one had me unsure until right before or at the reveals.

Bone chilling. Keeps you guessing until the end

Okay, this book really annoyed me. It could have been great. The premise was interesting and had a lot of potential. But the characters were mostly flat. The heroine really got on my nerves. Especially since she kept making café au lait by pouring steamed milk over frozen coffee cubes. Who does that? And, why?
