While I really enjoyed some aspects of this book, it was definitely way too long. I loved getting to see the interactions between all of the parents and the protective instincts of that Hail and Merissa had over their daughters. However, if the entire Felissa Night story had been cut out, I think the book would have been a lot better. It felt really weird to be introducing an entire new cast of characters for 100 pages in an interim novel. But this book did have some absolutely hilarious moments that did in fact actually make me laugh out loud (we all know which scene). Overall, I liked this book, but I don’t think that it was like entirely necessary. Also I didn’t read this in tandem with Sorrow and Starlight, and I don’t think I would recommend it either, because I feel like you’d just be reading a lot of the same scenes twice.

It was interesting to get to meet characters only mentioned in passing in other books and to meet new characters all together!
