Fabulous pieces of writing. For those that want to learn a larger breadth of Russian life and good writing to boot, I highly recommend. There’s a reason Svetlana Alexievich decided to write the foreword to this book. “After Eternity” is an excellent tug at the heartstrings.

Funny and entertaining short stories, loved the mix of darkness with hilarity and the mundane world in each tale
