I wanted to give this book a better review. Quite honestly, it is beautifully written, but I just didn't connect with it. I would have appreciated this souch more as an essay (or even two!) instead, I got bogged down in every minute detail. I found myself desperately waiting for this book to end so I could move on to the next. Perhaps if I was in a different headspace this might have been better received. 5 star writing turned into a two star book. I upped the rating because of my guilty conscience.

One of the loveliest books I have ever read. Just a beautiful reflection on life’s challenges and meaning, the self and identity.

unfortunately, I couldn't get into this one and ended up not finishing it.
the memoir was based on an article she wrote and it often felt like a lot of filler writing (a lot of 'X describes the definition of loss as...') and my easily distracted brain just couldn't focus on the text longer than a few minutes at a time.

This book is about EVERYTHING. Life is short, but I will be re-reading this with my new highlighters. Sublime.

I liked the poetic flow in this memoir. It has a lot of beautiful reflections on love and lost. I recommend this book if you want a few hours of reflection.
