I loved the book in the beginning and middle but hated the ending. Why would Salander want to have sex right after she was raped? And why did the story have to suddenly focus on the guy's love life at the end? The ending to the mystery wasn't even satisfying. I'm really sad I bought the second book before I finished the first one.
Too many plot lines within the narrative that were well connected which I appreciate but i didn’t really become invested in any of them. Plot twist was good.

I’m in awe of this story and this book.
I was needing an audiobook and I just decided out of the blue to pick this. It’s been on my shelves for awhile and I have always been interested in it to pick it up. I won’t deny that the first like 2 chapters of the audiobook were a lot because of the Swedish names and everything to wrap my head around. I considered putting it down and waiting to read it physically. And then I listened to chapter 3 and continued onto like 5 or 6 in one sitting. I became obsessed with this story.
All I’ve wanted to do is listen to this in the last week. I had such a hard time picking up something else because of how engrossing this story is. Also I’m glad for the audiobooks because I would never had been able to pronounce the Swedish names ever. And I am totally going to listen to the rest of them on audio because I love the narrator and he does the rest of the books.
I really loved Mikael and Lisbeth. They were such interesting characters to hear from for the story. I also loved the story that this surrounded. It was so interesting to learn about the Vagner family and see everything unfold. It was just so good. It kept me wanting more and to figure out what was going on.
I might just continue with the next book immediately!

I'm not sure if I'm desensitized to horrible things or if this book just didn't hit the spot for me. The first two parts of this book were so boring to me. It was full of so much that I could care less about.
I did enjoy the investigation of this book. I was sucked in, and then the ending dragged again. I think this book could've been an easy 150 pages shorter, and it would've been much better.

Great book, lots of twists and turns. Much better than the movie(s. Character development was great, in my opinion.
