i like a lot about this book. the police procedural part is great, albeit gratuitously grisly. the love stories, i thought, only got in the way. and there was too little of Will Trent. he's the most interesting character in the whole series. sadly, he gets short shrift here.

Very gruesome murder mystery. On brand of course. I did not see that twist coming.
I must say tho, as someone who has not read her Grant County books and has no loyalty to Jeffery. I felt it was a strange choice to give his POV in this book. I mean, he comes across as a very sleezy dude and a bad cop. Makes me wonder even more than I did how Sara could have gone back to him.
