Really good love story. Love Danielle Steels books.
I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't read a Danielle Steel book in a really long time. I loved the story line.
Not a favourite.
Very boring as it was repetative, honestly how many times did the author have to ram the latin motto carpe diem down the reader's throat, how many times did we need to be told that her friend's hubby cheated on her and she spent his money to make her happy, hiw many times did we need to read that Steph's hubby cheated on her and when they got back together nothing was the same!
So 4 months after one's husband dies is the ideal time to be starting a new relationship, little wonder her kids didn't feel good about the new relationship, while I don't agree with the way the kids (adult kids) spoke to their mother calling her a whore a what not, horrid bratty adult children, I get their sentiment.
I don't think I have enjoyed many of my last few Danielle Steel books, I do want to read The Mistress, and I hope it is as good as I hope it to be, if not I think DS will be scrubbed from my author list.

Who would read this: Danielle steel fans
Time to Read: 3 1/2 hours
Rating: 2.5/5 stars
Funny Story: I kept thinking that something would happen, but nothing did.
Final thoughts: This felt like a very cliched story, which disappointed me. I did not like the style as much as i have the other (limited) books i've read by the author.

One of her better books. Really enjoyed the storyline and it reminded me of the show "Nashville."
I haven't read a Danielle Steel novel since high school so I figured I'd try out this ridiculously popular title. I know that with Steel you get what you get... not great writing, but usually great storytelling. So it makes me sad, but I have to call DNF on this one. It's horrible. Positively horrible.
There is so much repetition in this book! I get that Stephanie's husband cheated on her. I get that her friends have weird marriages. I get that she thinks all men are bad and scary (I mean seriously, she thinks she's going to be raped everywhere she goes, by every man she meets). I get that she has neverever considered doing a single spontaneous thing in her life. For the love of all things holy, stop repeating yourself. And please, please, please stop writing sentences that begin with "and" and "but." It's fine once in a while, but multiple times in the same paragraph and too many to count in one page, every page, just starts getting annoying, especially when you don't even use it correctly.
I'm just going to go back and read Jewels or Palomino again. I'll pretend I'm in 7th grade, learning about all sorts of grown up things I shouldn't be learning about (Mom, where was all your parental supervision???).

This is your usual Danielle Steel fair but I do love a little bit of romantic escapism from time to time!
I just love to read Danielle Steel. She's always provides a nice escape from the daily grind. This story hit home with message to go for what YOU want and stop worrying about everyone else, especially after giving of yourself to everyone else for SO long. Down to earth characters.
