I've only recently gotten into Junji Ito's work with Dissolving Classroom being a quick read and it definitely made me feel a lot of discomfort as J-horror is known to be. Although, some of the scenes I found to be quite humorous, it does stand well with horrifying detailed dissolving bodies.
Dissolving beauty was the chapter that really did give me the hebbie-jeebies and the last chapter's twist made it shocking at first, but once you look back and think about it, it makes sense. Of course, from how short and abstract it is, there are a lot of unanswered questions, but the author knows this and even end the book saying it is up to the reader's imagination.
I personally wished the story was longer since I am someone who enjoys having everything in detail, but this is still a solid story nonetheless and definitely recommend it if you want a quick read of J-horror manga genre.

This is my first time reading a Junji Ito's book and I really liked it.
I love horror books and the weirdness of these drawings alongside the very twisted plot are really dark and macabre. The fact that we never figure out who is the, actually, the "bad sibling" is my favorite part of the entire book.
I have several of his books in my shelves and I can't wait to read them all.
