Kind of like Bleach, but with curses. It's fun enough

Itadori is charming and reminds me of both Hinata and Deku in the sense of his steadfast assuredness in himself and his convictions as well as his tenacity and eagerness to bring honor to his grandfather and to not regret his life. I love that. Gojo is incredibly attractive and reminds me of a mixture of Tanaka, Luffy, and Daichi with his ridiculous sense of humor, childlike joy, and the irresistible way he brings people together and is thoughtful. Kugisaki is a a badass and I appreciate her eagerness to prove herself, her brash words, and her inability to not be sassy. Fushiguro is a cinnamon roll that needs protected at all times and I feel a queer connection between him and Itadori--gonna go check out some fanfic of them later. xD Also!!! that cliff hanger -- OMG. Itadori is an excellent main character and I'm so excited to see the development of his arc and the way they honor his bravery and respect and care for others amid their horrible decision to execute him.

Overall, I really enjoyed the start to this series. It's intriguing, the artwork is captivating and different from both One Piece, MHA, and Haikyuu in ways that are darker, more sinister, and also refreshing. With One Piece, I find the artwork to be playful and intense--a beautiful dichotomy. In MHA, I find it reminiscent of old comic books in the best way. And with Haikyuu, the artwork is incredibly dynamic and fluid in ways that orchestrate the complexity of the game and the interwoven quality of community. For Jujutsu Kaisen, I'm fond of the sharp lines, stunning connecting panels, and the way characters are drawn in such in depth ways amidst great action. I look forward to reading the rest of the series! Onwards to Volume 2!!!

Definitely a great start. I’m liking the style so far. The story is interesting but of course it’s volume 1 so it’s introductory stuff. I read a bit further on & if this volume had included those chapters may have gone for a 5. But, as it stands for this 4 is good.

Honestly don't know why I decided to reread this volume a month later when I still haven't picked up the second volume, but I liked it more I think. I'm really hoping to love this series so my brain has already accepted it as a fave so I really hope it doesn't disappoint.

This is a solid first volume! The character designs are cool and the story is interesting. Also the little notes from the mangaka are cute. I like them.

Fushiguro is definitely my type of character. Moody, but you can tell he cares and his power is cool. I love the dogs. I'll have to warm up to the girl, because she's not my favorite right now, but I expect her to grow on me. Yuji is cute. He seems like a pretty typical main character. And then there's Gojo... all the fan art and cosplays I've seen of him have already made me attached pre-reading lol. I expect it only it only to consume me further.

I'm excited to finally get into this series and see what all the hype is about!

I really liked the book, just wasn’t a five star only because of all the building of characters and the world. I’m sure the future books will however be one of my favorites! ⭐️
