so much fun

I really enjoyed this book. Actually, I like the whole series. I recommend reading them in order since the story continues with each new book. I love the banter with all of the guys of the fire station

He enjoyed popping all kinds of cherries

It wasn't just sex, he was her first at doing all kinds of things from parasailing to going to an escape house. Emanuel Allende was in Mexico for a cousin's wedding when they met. Janine was on vacation alone trying to get her mind straight and adjusted before she starts her new life and a new job in Williamsport. Since they thought they would never see each other again, they spent all of their time together, not knowing that the future will look different when they return back home. At home, they both could not get each other off of their minds and were shocked to find out they were neighbors.

Emanuel lived his life being a firefighter. He attained the goal of working for Rescue Four after he received the Webster Award for his bravery. But now that Janine was back in his life, he wanted more from life, and Janine was it. Janine found Emanuel to be loving and spontaneous and fun, not like her ex Matt. She could be herself with Emanuel. He brought out a side of her that she did not know existed.

Janine had to adjust to her new job and the jerk she worked with. Emanuel gave her the courage she needed to deal with her a**hole co-worker, controlling ex and her trashy no-good mother. she also had to resolve her feelings towards Emanuel's family's business and his possible future in it.

This story was not my cup of tea in the beginning. I felt that Emanuel was too harsh/ vulgar with his conversations with Janine. Janine just took his behavior. She was such a wimp by staying in a relationship with Matt. But she redeemed herself by getting out of an unhappy relationship. It was not until she was committed to Emanuel that she knew what a real loving relationship was like. Even though a lot of situations were solved in this book, it is still a cliffhanger of sorts by not solving the arsonist problem. I hope it will be resolved in the next book.

Outstanding

You have to love Tiffany Patterson’s alpha male characters. Finding love in an unexpected place. Emanuel visiting his family for a wedding and Janine regrouping after a break up.

Janine’e mother, words cannot express how disgusting and nasty she is.
