This book had me hooked from the start. Although it has a somewhat simple idea, ten strangers invited to a remote island, each hiding a secret, I found myself racing through the story, constantly second-guessing who could be behind it all.

I particularly enjoyed how perfectly the ending fit. I didn’t figure it out (not even close), but once revealed, the puzzle pieces matched perfectly. This is such an iconic mystery because it the reveal just makes perfect sense.

The atmosphere is tense and claustrophobic, with paranoia building on every page. This was a clever, chilling, and nail-biting read that was perfect for September suspense.
