this book i enjoyed less. the most annoying thing was that everyone was keeping secrets and they weren’t working together as a team.

it’s always bathrooms, isn’t it?

she went and just healed everyone? wtf. i had to stop reading and take deep breaths so many times bc i was so annoyed with fmc. she’s at this gala where she had to steal an important thing but she saw someone dying and just HAD TO help. why????? you need your fucking strength. this was the party organized by her childhood abuser. for christ sake, did they really think he would miss such an opportunity to try and snatch her????? AAARRRGGH

she became too careless about her security. where was her constant paranoia?

just how pathetic everyone was there??? everyone was disarmed in a millisecond. weren’t they the Alpha team of this badass organization. i’m crying and laughing.

her “dad” just disappointed me. typical.

HOLY CANNOLI that cliffhanger!!
Quick rundown: this is the third installment in a reverse harem, paranormal romance series. They cannot be read as standalones and must be read in order. The series is completed.

Okay!! So, in this book we’ve focused on the budding relationship between Kit and her harem member, Austin. Of course, we still see the relationships growing between her and the others but Austin is the one who has been such an a$$ since the beginning but yet you can’t help but root for them to finally get together. And boy do they get together, HOT HOT HOT. Even though he hasn’t acted like he wanted a romantic relationship with Kit, despite their attraction to each other, he has been completely accepting of his part as her “dionach” or guardian.

We’ve also learned exactly what Kit is and what she can do, and what her chosen are and how their bond works. We’ve found out whether or not Jonathan, Kits guardian is shady or not, well in Kits eyes anyways, but we haven’t figured out exactly what he’s up to yet. Andddd we had a character, I wasn’t expecting, show up at the end of the book to help One of Kits harem members, Caleb. I’m anxious to learn more about what all the guys can do, and see how this “war” that keeps being hinted at is gonna go down, and what’s gonna happen with this new character that popped up at the end of the book.

Our characters still have me cracking up, getting me a little hot and bothered and sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next. I will say that Kit has made a few decisions that stupidly put her in danger, even against her guys wishes, but she owns up to it and admits she made dumb mistakes, I appreciate her owning up to it. Off to the next book I go!

This book in one sentence : In this 3rd installment of this reverse harem paranormal fantasy series, mages are added to the universe, love interests progress and unsurprisingly Kit gets kidnapped (again).
My rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Steaminess : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Would I recommend : Yes, if you like RH and paranormal, then this is a fun series. Each book manages to expand the universe and intrigue. For every new piece of information you learn, you ending up asking thrice as many questions.
Tropes : Heroine is super special / chosen one, everyone is in love with heroine, enemies-to-lovers
Content warnings : sexual assault, torture, history of child abuse.

Book 3 of the Kit Davenport series. This series keeps on going. We don't know who to trust, no one is exempt from suspicion, the men family and friends. The pace is so breakneck you are just waiting for the next thing to occur.

I was really excited for book three because I finally FINALLY found our what Kit is, and the storyline really starts to progress. However I don't know if it's because I'm burning through these books super fast and burning out on them or if I'm just not that interested, but I don't really want to continue. The end of book 3 has me exactly half way through the series and I think I'm going to throw in the towel.
I think my main issue is that there are SIX guys to one girl which is super excessive and it's hard for me to keep everyone straight in my head, and the series seems pretty weak on the romance side. The smut is good, but also like they all bang now pretty much to recharge her vs because they love her... Although one character does profess his love in this book.
The foundation is just too weak, it was too insta-loveish for me and I can't get attached when there's no real foundation to the romance part of the story, so this is me, tossing in the towel and moving on.

Aaaah! Well my favorite is Wes. Damn he's cute. Caleb feels like a child, Austin is just an asshole. Cole and Vali, too much things unsaid. River, I don't know.. I like him but Wes is better. #whychoose have never been better. I need to know what more they are gonna unravel.
