Wittiest and introspective. Haven’t laughed out loud as many times reading a book since Mindy Kaling’s memoirs. Realistic and wise framing of marriage, weddings, and life.

So good I had to read it twice, and will likely dip in again.

This was much different than I expected. I appreciate the different views on marriage and relationships and what we go through. But the writing style threw me off. I just couldn’t get in to it.

I listened to this essay collection on audiobook and appreciated the format because of its candid tone—although it could be quite melancholic at times. I liked the concept of the book, and it stays on track, but there's nothing memorable about the toasts. They feel pretty predictable. I certainly liked some more than others, but they probably won't stick with me.

This book did not impress me at all. The writing seemed strung together and in need of an editor to critique it, shift things around, and demand more heft from the author. I did not find her charming, nor did I find her authentic.

I flew through this book! It was a joy to read and had a lot to say on marriage and relationships that I really connected with. That being said it did get into the territory of too many quotations especially padding out the middle.
