My eyes were glued up until the last page. Glad to read this for the 2nd time. Still got me intrigued and terrified.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first Sidney Sheldon novel whose storyline is gripping and with multifaceted characters. The incredible Detective Max Hornung who earned a special place in my heart. The control-obsessive, brilliant Hélène Roffe-Martell. Rhys Williams who shed off his old skin like a charm. Elizabeth Roffe who stood up to the task

Good book but I guessed who the killer was quite early on, think b/c I've read almost all of Sheldon's books.

This was a good story....but I have never been disappointed reading Sidney Sheldon.
3.5 actually.
I'm a huge Sidney Sheldon fan, but this book kinda disappointed me.
The book was divided into two parts, Book One and Two.
Book One was utterly boring, and though I realize that it was essential for the story, I wish it'd been spread out throughout the book instead of dumping three generations of history on us in one go.
Book Two on the other hand was exactly what I expect from Sidney Sheldon, thrilling, suspenseful and exciting.
