Read by the author himself, I found it to be charming but not as arresting as Tim Curry's narration.

So, far this is my second fave book in the series. However, Aunt Josephine being scared of everything was extremely annoying, and I know it was all a part of the storyline - doesn’t make her any less annoying though.

Then there is Mr. Poe of course, who continues to be just so incredibly naive. These poor, poor Baudelaire children.
