I really struggled to get into this Poirot mystery. The writing style used was different to a classic Christie Poirot novel and read more like a Miss Marple which I have DNF’d in the past.

All I want in life is to solve an incredibly complex murder mystery in a wonderful and tropical location. Is that too much to ask for?? This book makes me feel like I could easily solve any crime <3

Death in the Nile, as with all Agatha Christie novels, surprised and shocked me. Her genius with mystery rightly earned her the title, “Queen of Mystery.”

That being said, while I enjoyed the story and read it all in one sitting, it wasn’t my absolute favorite of hers.

I had started to work out the ending in advance of its reveal, but it was still entirely satisfying, and that's when you know the writer is really good. I think I liked this one even better than Orient Express.
