Myron Bolitar is back for book number 8! After a 6 year hiatus, Harlan Coben comes back strong with his Myron Bolitar series.

All of these books are way better than they have any right to be and Promise Me is no exception.

After two teenage girls are kidnapped, Myron offers to help find one of them. That's all it takes to launch us back into his world.

It's a fast paced mystery with snappy dialogue, and a fun supporting cast.

This one was great but ran a touch long although it's only noticable towards the end when certain characters specifically withold plot information when it doesn't necessarily make sense to do so.

Happy to get back into the series and looking forward to the next one!

Love all the Myron Bolitar series. This was a great read with enough suspense to keep me turning the page to find out what really happened.

3.5 stars. Coben really knows how to get you with the twists but it takes soooooooo loooooong to get there. It’s like trying to dress a toddler. You keep trying to finish it but they kick you in the face and run away bare ass naked. And you are left bored and defeated. Once this book picked up, around page 300 for me, I couldn’t put it down. But again, the long drag out just ruins the quality of the story for me.

Different than the previous Myron Bolitar books. This one still features a mystery and Myron and his pal Win acting as sleuths but it doesn't have the same focus on sports as the previous.

I usually like his books, but this wasn't one of his better ones.
