Bad Habits is a psychological thriller about 2 best friends turned rivals. Mac and Gwen come from two worlds. I love Mac! A main character that some might find unsavory but I adored her and was rooting for her.
This has the right kind of drama. Smart characters that weren’t uptight and boring but very much focused on making something out of their lives. Even taking part in some unethical manipulation to do so.
It got a little twisty at the end. One aspect I actually guessed but it was deeper than my little passing guessing so it was still a shock. I love having to go back and reread. Warms my heart.
Professors, fraud, affairs, racism, grad school, …just lots interesting points in this book. I felt like I was sitting around with my friend Mackenzie and she was catching me up on this and it was juicy. I devoured this in about a day. It jumps back to Claire’s childhood and then her entering this grad school program with her bestie to about 10 years later. It gets crazyyyy but it’s written in such a digestible way that I only slightly scratched my head when they started talking about ethical negation ( is that a real thing? Lol like can I study that for real or not?!)
I have Good as Gone lined up so I can’t wait to see how good Amy Gentry can get. Great book!

I thought this book was going a totally different direction and it got a little too crazyy. this was not for me after about a third though it. The main character felt like they were getting overly insane, it just went a little too far.
