November 2016 - so different from the James Marshall version, but both are fantastic. I love McClintock's illustrations, and the text is wordier than Marshall but never feels too long (at least for someone of Ben's attention span) and reads nicely.

The traditional tale retold with amazing illustrations. This makes both a nice one-on-one read and a nice read aloud (although it's a bit on the long side for a big group).
